Rebuilding a heritage platform to find fresh faces
Fulton Hogan is a leader in the infrastructure industry in New Zealand and Australia. It’s a big business with immeasurable opportunities to grow careers, built on a strong foundation of family values. But no one knew. With a valued but ageing workforce in New Zealand and a competitive environment in Australia, Fulton Hogan needed to attract fresh, younger talent. A key channel that was failing them was the website. It didn’t reflect the inspiring and engaging workplaces Fulton Hogan offer, or the strong family atmosphere and culture. It needed to be rebuilt, from the ground up.
We worked with Fulton Hogan to establish the purpose for the website, and the key users to focus on. We developed an information architecture around the key user journeys and desired actions. Concurrently we were also consulting with employees across the company to create a brand story and EVP that captured the essence of life at Fulton Hogan. All of this was combined into the design of an engaging and captivating website, led by the employee value proposition and stretching the brand into a new space. Talent recruitment is front and centre, and real people and projects help tell the story of Fulton Hogan.
